I initially embarked on the ‘Discovering Natural’ as a means to support my younger sister who was transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. She had articulated the pressure to conform to her peers beauty standards and that of the media, so I made Discovering Natural Part I to inspire confidence in her walk against the grain. Part one was a celebration and a small incite into those embarking on a natural hair journey; as a way to uplift, motivate and educate. However, it only lightly swept the voices and stories that needed deep excavation. So without further ado, I present to you part 2 of Discovering Natural:
